Patiala Peaks Punjab Polling Percentage for Prime Minister Poll 2014

This state had nearly 24.47 % voters casting their franchise until 10 am in this sixteenth lok sabha assembly in electing candidates for thirteen Lok Sabha seats. Moga being sensitive polling station had small clashes amidst tight security. The Ludhiana citizen voters had even certificates for giving their votes.

As a first person Patiala, Captain Amarinder Singh’s son Raninder Singh had his vote casted at Govt College for Girls along with AAP candidate Dharamvira Gandhi and SAD-BJP nominee Deepinder Singh Dhillon gave his voting in Chat village of Mohali dist. of Patiala constituency.

Punjab had totally 253 candidates contesting of which comprise Opposition Leader of Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley and his Congress competitor Amarinder Singh from Amritsar and Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s daughter-in-law & SAD MP Harsimrat Kaur & nephew Manpreet Singh Badal of Congress from Bathinda.

People started lining up at polling booths even before 7 in the morning. Close to 2.34 lakhs poll officers were on work and this time it is expected to be a 80%.

About seventy five thousand police & paramilitary personnel stationed for peaceful polling.
