Model Polling Stations in Chennai District Election

model polling stationNowadays the voters develop apathy over polling with this the district election authorities are readying rolling out the red carpet, offer air-conditioning, coach their staff to be more courteous and provide buttermilk to voters in 5 of the chennai polling booths. These are called model polling stations available in Nungambakkam, Kolathur, Guindy and Adyar.

The Chennai North Lok Sabha constituency will own 1 model polling booths at Corporation Gym, Fourth Street, Anjugam Nagar, and Kolathur.
The Chennai Central constituency will have 2 model polling stations at 1, Lake Area, 4th Cross Street, Nungambakkam.
Similarly Chennai South has 2 model polling stations at College of Engineering Guindy & Chennai Hr Sec School, 92/76, Pappanchavady, Kamaraj Avenue, Adyar.

For the first time in India, Delhi has formed Model polling stations across 9 districts before 2014 Lok Sabha Assembly Election last year. Apart from this all the polling stations will get equipped with first-aid and medical facilities.
