With the due date closing on for summary special revision of tamil nadu electoral roll crossed 562000 voters today on monday i.e., 05.01.2015. Previously the vote count of TN election was at 5.48 cr. IN this revised the women electorates stood at 5 crore and 62 lakhs outpassing men voters. Earlier the female voter identity card members were 2.81 cr. compared to the list of men voters at 2.80 cr and there is about 3446 transgenders also in the rolls.
Revealing the final roll after two revisions held on 15.10.14 and 10.11.2014 Chief Electoral Officer Sandeep Saxena said that nearly 278598 names have been deleted from the list because of duplicate / multiple entries of the same voter.

The applicants who want to include / delete their name in the list whose vote application form 6, 8, 8a was 17,44,819 of which almost 1623000+ voters have been included which is 93.02 % go as eligible voters. The online registrations over the internet http://elections.tn.gov.in/ the e-voter application received was 117941 and this encourages online registration in future will prevent form 8 and 8a.
